Tesla started registering VINs for the European version of the Model 3 last month and the total count of Tesla Model 3 European VINs has now reached ’33’ according to the Model 3 VIN tracking website model3vins.com.
In the wake of this development Tesla is bound for testing and validation of the Model 3 vehicles in Europe. Recently a Tesla Mode 3 is witnessed in at Tesla Grohmann Automation headquarters in Germany where Tesla’s compact electric car was charging.
The photos below caught by Detlef Knobloch at Tesla Grohman’s facility show us a different charger plug than the one used in North American region — as the pictures are not very closely taken, it’s no possible to confirm that this a Type 2 plug but it’s position and size resembles one.

“We expect to start producing a significant volume for Europe in January, and obviously take some time to ship. So deliveries, probably if we finish the deliveries in Europe kind of in the late February, March timeframe.”
Like Tesla and Saul Lopez from YouTube define the differences in charging plugs, setups and adapters between the American and European Tesla cars in a detailed video below, very interesting and informative for the owners.
