Tesla resurrected their one of a kind ‘referral program’ in the automotive industry after discontinuing it a while ago, the new Tesl Referral Program comes with a new structure and rewards system.
Some important terms and conditions of the program were declared on Twitter by Tesla CEO Elon Musk which cleared some confusions surrounding the new structure of the program, this time a single owner will be able to win a prize only once.
The discontinued old Tesla referral program besides putting a financial burden on the company was also sort of more rewarding to social media influencers, YouTubers with a large following and news bloggers, several of these won 2 Tesla Roadsters worth half a million dollars besides other benefits.
Elon Musk clearly stated that the new referral program will also benefit Tesla owners with fewer means of reaching out to a mass audience and increasing chances of winning, he tweeted:
In another tweet, Elon Musk also clarified that the raffle each month for Founders Series Model Y Performance and each quarter for Founders Series Next-Generation Tesla Roadster will include customers from around the world, not for each country or region, this also brings Tesla’s costs down by distributing prizes between global customer base.
Good news for the normal folks who were previously not able to advertise their referral code to get the benefits seemed like an injustice, times have changed now. Some influencers around the social media and web-sphere don’t seem to be happy with this decision, maybe their only goal was to reap expensive benefits not to spread the word on Tesla’s mission.
It is also confirmed that the 12 Model Y CUVs distributed each year will be the top-end ‘Performance’ variants, this sounds amazing, write down your emotions in the comments section below.
